FAQs

How will I know it’s you in my yard?

We’ll let you know when we are on our way and ring your doorbell before we begin service. We’ll also have on DooVenger gear.

How do you handle inclement weather?

Depending on the weather, we will come out rain or snow. If it’s heavy rain, lightning, or over 2 inches of snow, we make up service the following week. During Winter months, service delays and an occasional missed cleaning may occur due to weather conditions. Regular service rates will be charged throughout the Winter because poop still accumulates. All remaining Winter waste will be picked up during Spring Cleanup.

What do I need to do?

To ensure thorough clean up, lawns should be maintained regularly. This includes cutting the grass and removing leaves/debris. We will scoop around furniture, but not underneath. Dry poop is easier to scoop, please try not to water the lawn prior your scheduled appointment.

We clean all year round. In the Winter, please clear your gates of snow and ice. If we can’t gain access, we can’t clean. You will not receive a refund for a missed service. We’ll scoop all the poop during our next visit.

What if my dog is aggressive or not friendly to people?

If aggressive dogs are outside when we arrive, we’ll give you a call and knock on your door to have them brought indoors. If you are unable to bring them inside, we will be unable to service your yard until your next scheduled visit and you will not receive a refund for the missed visit.

What if I go on vacation or need to cancel service?

Just provide us with a two day (48 hours) notice if you do not need service for that week. Same goes for cancelling or pausing services.

Can I leave the poop as fertilizer for the lawn?

Dog waste can contain harmful bacteria, parasites, and viruses, posing health risks-especially for children. It can be hazardous to wildlife and other dogs. Leaving pet waste in your yard attracts rodents and, when washed away by rain or melting snow, can flow into nearby storm drains, reaching lakes, rivers, and streams untreated. Additionally, because dogs consume a protein-rich diet, their waste tends to be highly acidic, which can damage your lawn. Source: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/advice/dog-poop-cleanup/
